#### Articles & Handouts
- [[Overview Schwartz Theory - Schwartz 2012]]
Explanation of the 10 basic values that are universal across cultures. Not only are the values themselves universal, but so are their hierarchy of importance and the relational structures between them. Knowing the motivational goals of values can help in predicting and understanding people's attitudes and behaviors.
*I found this fascinating and am interested in reading more of Schwartz's work. Especially his mention of an article about how we come to hold the values we do and how our value priorities influence our behavior and attitudes*
- [[Communication Ethics a Vital Resource - Ballard et al. 2016]]
An essay reviewing the history of communication ethics.
*This helped clarify my understanding of dialogic communication ethics.*

#### Videos
- [[What are Moral Dilemmas - PHILO-notes]]
An illustrated video defining and giving examples of moral dilemmas.
*Incredibly simple explanation that made it easy to understand the different kinds of moral dilemmas.*

- [[Go Back to Where You Came From - Cordell]]
Emotionally intense Australian docuseries that follows six Australians, with varying opinions about immigration, as they experience the journey of refugees.
*Great resource for thinking about and applying ethical questions. I struggled with knee-jerk reactions to some of the cast and their viewpoints. I had to work really hard to keep an open mind and reflect on what their underlying values and ethical perspectives were.*
