%% #💡 #🟠 %% # Tuckman's stages of group development Bruce Tuckman studied team dynamics in the 1960s and discovered a model for the stages of group or team development. 1. **Forming** Group comes together for first time and talks about 'why are we here,' 'what are we doing,' and 'what's our goal?' 2. **Storming** Phase where conflict starts. People are moving in different directions and there's a bit of chaos. 3. **Norming** If group makes it through storming phase, there's some agreement and people start moving in the same direction. 4. **Performing** Successful groups make it to this stage where everyone is working together like a well-oiled machine. ## Sources [[Tuckman's Model - Muzio 2010]] ## Tags [[Team Building]] --- *Created on:* 2022-02-27 *Last modified on:* 2022-02-27
