This is the first part of the mantra that Dennis Conners introduced in our [[ORGL 615]] - Organizational Theory & Behavior course. Throughout the ORGL program, we (students and professors alike) came together to collaborate and learn about leadership.
In coming together with a shared vision, we created a space for exploration, [[reflection]] and [[generative dialogue]]. Dr. Conners described the space as "charged and safe."
> [! definition] Charged
> There is expectation, there is excitement, challenge, anticipation, and sometimes frustration.
> [! definition] Safe
> There are protocols and agreements in place to enhance everyone's willingness to be vulnerable and take risks - to ask for help, admit an error, or express a different point of view.
Although this Brain Forest is my personal [[digital garden]], I view it as an extension of that collaborative space that is charged and safe for [[dialogue]] between different ideas and viewpoints.

> [! quote] Mantra introduced by Dennis Conners in ORGL 615
> We come together to create this space where obedience to truth can be practiced. We define truth as a continuing dialogue about things that matter conducted with passion and discipline.
