In addition to effectively and efficiently using resources and operating according to norms, organizations achieve legitimacy through specific values they hold for stakeholders.
Values are secondary outcomes of profitable and efficient operations.
- provide jobs for employees
- enhance tax base for communities
- buy products and services from other organizations
- engage in philanthropy
