Goals are to learn as much as you can and help as much you can. Only rules are no feedback about the past and no judging or critiquing ideas. # Notes & Important Ideas ##### Alternative to feedback, [[feedforward]] is an activity that can be done 1:1 or in groups. ##### Two roles to play in feedforward 1. Learn as much as I can 2. Help as much as I can ##### Two rules in feedforward 1. No feedback about the past - You can't change the past 1. No judging or critiquing ideas - Just say thank you - Only use what works for you - Treat the idea like a gift ##### Reasons why feedforward is positive - About what you can do, not what you can't do - Focused on a future you can change - There's no judging ##### Pick one behavior to improve - Ask others for ideas - "I want to be a better - . I'm not looking for feedback on the past, but would love your ideas for how I could improve in the future. I can't promise that I'll use every idea, but I will listen and do what I can. What ideas would you have for me?" # Connections to Other Materials # Personal Reflection & Application I like this as an alternative to giving feedback, which is often difficult and uncomfortable. I really appreciate that it is positive and forward-looking, instead of negatively critiquing what someone has done in the past. --- # Other References
