#### What is a dilemma?
> A dilemma is a situation where a person is forced to choose between two or more conflicting options, neither of which is acceptable. (0:30)
Must be a choice between two options with no alternatives.
#### What are [[moral dilemmas]]?
A dilemma that involves actions with moral implications.
#### Three conditions for moral dilemmas
1. Person must make a decision about which course of action to take - can't simply ignore it.
2. Must be more than one option to choose from.
3. No matter what action is taken, some [[moral principles]] are compromised.
#### In a moral dilemma, person will necessarily fail morally
No matter what decision a person makes, they will fail to do something which they ought to do.
#### Four types of moral dilemmas
1. [[epistemic dilemmas]] and [[ontological dilemmas]]
2. [[self-imposed dilemmas]] and [[world-imposed dilemmas]]
3. [[obligation dilemmas]] and [[prohibition dilemmas]]
